BBM:Mathew Tembo Announces Two Major Album Projects For 2026, Including “Gule Reggae” With Milz
Zambian reggae heavyweight Mathew Tembo has confirmed two major album releases for 2026, as he moves to deliver on his promise of “lots of music” this year.
In a statement released this week, Tembo announced that he will be dropping the highly anticipated “Mvetsetsa” album with fellow artist Mumba Yachi by mid-year 2026.
In addition, Tembo revealed that he and frequent collaborator Milz have just completed recording their joint project titled “Gule Reggae” over the past weekend.
The “Gule Reggae” album is described as a fusion of indigenous Zambian musical elements and reggae. The project aims to spotlight Zambia’s cultural heritage through a reggae lens.
The album features an all-star lineup of Zambian talent, including:
Able Chungu, Chef 187, Frank Ro, Driemo, and Saliyah Miyanda.
Tembo noted that additional collaborations are still under consideration, meaning the feature list may expand.
The project has now moved into the mixing stage.
With both “Mvetsetsa” and “Gule Reggae” slated for 2026, Tembo is positioning himself for one of his busiest years yet.
Fans can expect the first singles and official release dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
